The rebels have been attacking the Empire for 6 months now. Once again, the galaxy is on the brink of civil war. The story begins in classic Star Wars fashion: text scroll while the iconic Star Wars theme plays. The voice cast from the first game reprise their roles and the game's main theme is the same while certain scores from the Star Wars Movies also appear. Despite having died in the canonical ending to the first game, Starkiller returns as a genetically altered clone, created by Darth Vader in an attempt to preserve his Padawan's abilities. The story spans many planets and old characters from the Star Wars saga appear. The game takes place six months after the first Force Unleashed. Most of the cast from the first game returns as well, with Starkiller once again taking up the role of protagonist. Starkiller rescues Jedi Master Rahm Kota from a gladiator arena, and encounters Yoda on Dagobah.OverviewThe Force Unleashed II maintains the hack and slash inspired gameplay of The Force Unleashed, while layering on several new Force abilities and the chance to dual-wield lightsabers. Meanwhile, Darth Vader has hired Boba Fett to track down Juno Eclipse to lure Starkiller out of hiding. After eliminating his stormtrooper captors, Starkiller embarks on a quest to understand his identity and to find his love interest from the first game, Juno Eclipse. Starkiller escapes from captivity on Kamino where Darth Vader has again betrayed him by placing him in shackles and ordering his execution. Players will once again control Starkiller, Darth Vader's secret apprentice and the protagonist in the first game, who is a clone. The Force Unleashed 2 will be the "dark entry" in the series, and a more personal story for the game's protagonist than the first game. The game will take place about seven months after the events of the first game, and a year before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The game also adds more Force powers, such as "mind trick" and "Force Fury". Combat will be modified to include the ability to wield dual lightsabers which can dismember or decapitate enemies. The Force Unleashed 2 will refine gameplay elements from the first Force Unleashed, and add more variety with such features as puzzle solving and, at one point, piloting a TIE Fighter.
